Decorating my lounge/diner
We've lived in this house for almost 6 years and only just managed to afford to do it.
It has been such a massive job but now feeling like we are on the home straight. Have removed the horrible lumpy wallpaper that the previous occupant obviously thought was a great idea, filled about 100 holes in the walls, pulled down the polystrene coving and replaced with plasterboard coving (this is not fun when none of your corners are actually square), painted the ceiling, walls and doors and now just have the door frames and skirting to paint and blind and curtains to make. New carpet has been ordered and we are just waiting to be ready for it to be fitted.
I have loads of things i should be making but no time to make anything. Once i have finished decorating will post some pictures. Hope everyone is well and i will update again soon.
Oh yes and to just add to my list of things to do i have just taken over as Chairperson on the preschool committee. Having never done anything like this before it is a bit overwhelming. I'm sure i'll get the hang of it.

Blind and curtains
Only problem having a pair of 3 year olds i never get much time during the day to get anything done and by the evening i'm too tired to concentrate. Think my mum will look after them for me for a couple of days to give me a good amount of time in one go. So watch this space, hopefully in the next few weeks i'll have a redecorated lounge/diner with new carpet and soft furnishings. Fingers crossed.

Yet another bag
My final Christmas present is complete. This one is for my mums friend. I am getting some fabrics for Christmas. Hoping to use them for a patchwork project. Possibly some kind of quilt or table runner. Not sure yet. Looking forward to having a go at a few projects rather than doing bits in a hurry. So keep an eye out here over the next few weeks as hopefully I'll get some new bits done. Happy Christmas to all. Xxx

My first sock monkey
I made this monkey last night. I am pretty pleased with him as a first attempt. As you can see in the pic my girls like him. Have to do another now so they have one each.

Another bag
Just finished this bag this evening. Think I am getting better but not sure if they are good enough to give as gifts yet. Think I need some more practice. I now have 12 more Christmas stockings to make before the beginning of December plus possible requests from neighbours. Really struggling to work out costing though. Would like to know how much they are costing me to make but as I never buy enough of anything and have to keep going back to the shop to get more its so hard to work out. Anyone have any tips.

If i cant find one i'll have to have a rethink about how i'm going to make it.
Anyway on a lighter note its my twin girls 3rd birthday tomorrow.I have attempted a chocolate house cake today which i am not very happy with but i'm sure it will taste lovely. Looking forward to lots of fun and party food tomorrow.

Tissue holders
here is a picture of this evenings work. The ones that match the bag I finished yesterday look good but I had a go with my curtain fabric and as I thought its too thick. At least now I know for sure. Xxx

My 2nd bag
Hi guys just finished this bag tonight. Quite pleased with how it looks. Much better than my 1st bag which I made on a dress making course. Yeah I know a bag on a dress making course thats what I thought too.
This one has wadding in which my 1st one didnt which I think makes a huge difference.
Next on the agenda are 10 more stockings before Christmas and I bought 6 metres of different fabrics last weekend and I am not sure what to do with it. Its from a curtain store so im not too sure what I can teally use it for. Any ideas would be appreciated. Xxx

Christmas Stocking
This is 1 of 2 stockings I have made for my twins for Christmas. I like them so much I think I might make a few more. I have only used the fabric you can see on the fronts. The backs and linings are plain red poly cotton. Hope you like it.
